Katrina Mena Rick was born and raised in Miami, Florida to a family of crazy Cubans. She is a classically trained vocalist who specializes in contemporary styling. Having started her career at the age of 8 with the Miami Children's Chorus, Katrina has sang on countless stages throughout Florida, the United States and Brazil. A graduate of New World School of the Arts she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Music and Jazz Performance from the prestigious University of Miami's Frost School of Music Her passions led her to study abroad in Belo Horizonte, Brazil where she performed with the Puppa Santana Jazz Ensemble throughout the region. Katrina has held several residencies as a radio DJ, vocal coach, theater teacher, music director, jazz vocalist and singer/songwriter.
In 2011, Katrina completed her Master of Science degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. Currently, Katrina continues to perform and enjoys being a vocal coach to her diverse group of students. She also works freelance for Disney. She is also a proud new member of the professional organization NATS, National Association of Teachers of Singing.
